According to the Macau gambling regulator, gross revenue of gambling venues fell 4.5% in July compared to July 2015.
Macao casinos earned $2.2 billion last month, which is 100 million less than the year before. A much more significant reduction is in the figures as of the past seven months. During this period, casinos earned $15.7 billion. The fall is 10.5%.
Within the Q2 there was a decrease in the total industry revenue as well, amounting to 15.7%. However, the overall picture looks a bit better due to June’s figures indicating 11.9% increase of gambling venues revenue compared to the same period last year.
