The draft law was filed by the Deputy Minister of Finance of Armenia Pavel Safaryan. It is meant to regulate the operation of foreign online casinos, which exist on the territory of the country.
Currently, several successful online platforms accept cash bets.
The new law provides for the introduction of compulsory licenses, which will allow online casinos to operate in Armenia.
In the country, the online gambling business is not restricted in any way. The authorities aim to make this area exist legally.
The draft law On Gambling and Casinos, which was approved on August 25 this year, will tighten control over the playgrounds in Armenia.
