Georgian Parliament is preparing an act amending the tax law which concerns the gambling operators.
Upon the preliminary information the reform implies the fee increase along with the changing of licensing rules. Thus, the tax rate for gambling machines and tables can be set between 50 thousand and 1 million GEL.
And at the same time the gambling business could be given a partial tax exemption.
It had been decided to issue a five years license instead of one year license as it is now. Its cost is going to be set by the regional authorities.
The changes in the legislation should lead to the creation of a more flexible and simple gambling tax system. The public authorities will have a more accessible control over the correctness of the payments conducted by companies.
